Current Projects
Violence and Voting the US: School Shootings Increase the Vote Share of the Democratic Party, Lacombe M, Garcia L, Arjona A - This paper examines how school shootings impact the relative vote share of the Republican and Democratic parties in counties that experience them. We find that Republicans suffer a substantial loss of support in counties that experience shootings in the elections following those shootings.
